Break in meeting for picture to be taken for Fayetteville newspaper. Larry Riddle presented club with award from Rotary Club for participation in Car Show June 13. Walt Baer tells about Dragon Tail run and edges other to take a run. Ivan won best in show at a Kennesaw show. Ed Behlke won top 10 at cruise in. Reviewed trip to Talladega Vettes for Vets. Good time but the runs on the track was disorganized. Need to get more door prizes for car show together. Also be sure to get name and address for thanks to be sent. New Charity discussed. Southwest Christian Care has been main charity from last Show. Some in club believe we can support other Charities in the community. After much discussion the Kirby’s and Mullins’s were asked to look into other groups and make a decision As to which Charities the club will support with the money from this years Car Show. Will Be announced at next meeting. Car Show Committees were gone over to make sure everyone had a job and knew what it was. List is available with names to contact. Board meeting update- by-laws to be next month New web page up and running Show & tell- new roof on Jan’s car Cleaners for rag tops “Ragtop cleaner” from Mid America Day’s Chevrolet update- Ivan Hawkins and Ken Thaxton won again. Ivan also went to Augusta For Arms Forces day “Thunder over Georgia” Great show-should look into for next year. Steve Kimsey ended up at car show in Lake Tahoe. Our Car Show- Larry Riddle got Car Guys on board. Flyers to be out soon Boy Scouts to sell Drinks, Hot dogs, and Hambergers Theme “Route 66” Venders-should we charge admission? Motion was made by Mark Mullins And 2nded and passed to have an all Corvette show on Sept 19, 2009 At Southtown.
