World of Wheels
January 4 - 6th 2008
Georgia World Congress Center

For the third year in a row, the team of Ivan Hawkins and Bobby Miller pulled out all the stops and once again provided a fantastic setting for our club display.  Months of preparing, logistics and organizing, they made it seem easy.  This year we had a few cars and members that had never participated at the WOW before, those include; Larry & Joan Riddle with their '93 Ruby red coupe, Richard & Annie Henderson with their '98 red convertible, Charles & Gloria Neal with their silver '05 convertible, and Jody Wardlaw who brought a '67 big block convertible.  Lots of work, fun and food (yes peanuts) and taking home a second place for
"Best Club Display".

Thanks and Congratulations to ALL

A lone dark hall is about to be turned into the 2008 World of Wheels

Arriving early gave us a chance to lay the carpet, and get everything in order

A lot of work and plenty of supervision

The booth is taking shape as we sit back and look at our handy work

Jan supervises as the lights go up....  Great job, they added the bling!

Chuck and Charles, clean his windshield ?????

The sign says it ALL

Photo ops infront of our cars....  this ones my favorite  :-)

One beautiful Z06 and a very happy owner (also our 2008 President)

Walt brings his '64 mid-year to the show......   beautiful!

Ivan does what he does best.......  cleans and polished his Z06

Enough work, time to relax

Annie's car, A first timeer at the show.......  what do you think?

From the school of "I can polish more than Ivan", Bobby rubs and shines

AND..........   the show opens and the club is ready

3 days of people coming by to talk and admire the Corvettes

Anyway you look at them

they are BEAUTIFUL......always a crowd pleaser!

Larry's Ruby '93 in the corner draws crowds and plenty of photos

Our WOW leader takes a break under the sign.....  Ya did it again Ivan!

OK, 1 day of masking off the floors (appx 5 hrs), 1 day of setting up (appy 6 hrs..) and 3 days of attending the booth (approximately 30 hrs..),  the "tired" club sits in anticipation of the trophies being handed out.......
The good news, we wern't disappointed.
