A Beautiful Summer Day
12 Corvettes and a Drive to Brasstown Bald Mountain
for the annual
Top of Georgia Corvette Show
June 23, 2007

A quick stop before leaving the big city as we head north towards Brasstown Bald Mountain

Straight up 400, the 12 Corvettes make their way to the North Georgia Mountains.

Tops down, the Culbreth's and Fambro's stretch their arms, or just a friendly wave???

And into the mountains we go..  A beautiful morning for a drive

A winding two lane road takes us through some of Georgia's beautiful countryside

Windy roads and single file

Now this is just plain confusing.   Good thing Mark and Lynn are up front!

These memorials (flags and crosses) have names of WWII veterans on them and went on for miles

You just never know who's going to sneak up behind ya!

More roads, more curves and more driving fun

And more curves..  did we mention the bicyclist ?????

Look.  he's still there!!!    Chuck and Jan keep an eye on all things good!

We arrive at Brasstown Bald Mountain and set up camp...  Upper 70's and it feels great

A few C5's?   About 100 cars participated in the car show.

Ken getsthose last specs of dust off his car....   Does he ever stop???????

Our club cars lined and ready for the show

A picture from the top of Brasstown Bald looking down to the parking lot.

Gene Clopton and the fine folks from the Corvette Goup of the Blue Ridge Mountains rolled out the red carpet...   Great job guys!

And when all was said and done.......   Ken Thaxton takes home "People Choice Award" and
Ivan Hawkins grabs "Best of Show"...   Congratulations to both of you!

A waive of the hand and it's off we go....  Another fantastic day with our friends and cars.
